About HYPELAB

We don't create hype.
We engineer it.

HYPELAB is a music growth studio. We help emerging African artists turn live performances into fans, bookings, and income — through brand strategy, content engines, and audience systems most managers in this industry don't know how to build.

We're built from Enugu, for the next wave of African music — which won't all come from Lagos.

Why we exist.

Most emerging Nigerian artists die in the algorithm. Not for lack of talent — for lack of infrastructure. They have songs. They can perform. But they don't have a system that turns those moments into compounding growth.

Meanwhile, the artists who break through aren't more talented. They have clear identity, content velocity, audience capture, and a path from stage to income. That's not luck. That's infrastructure.

HYPELAB is the infrastructure.

“You don't need fame. You need infrastructure.”

What we believe.

01
Engineer, don't pray.

Every win is a system we can repeat. Every loss is a system we can debug.

02
The artist is the asset.

Our job is to make the artist more valuable. If we extract more than we add, we lose.

03
Build in public.

Document the journey. Share the playbooks. Authority compounds.

04
Slow contracts, fast content.

We move fast on creative. We move carefully on paper. Both protect the artist.

05
Honest math.

20% of clarity beats 50% of confusion. Always show the numbers.

06
No saviors, no slaves.

We don't "rescue" artists. We don't own them. We partner. We sunset when we should.

Why Enugu.

Most Nigerian music infrastructure has clustered in Lagos for two decades. Meanwhile, the South-East produces some of the most distinctive sounds in African music — and gets almost no professional management attention.

We're not pretending to be Lagos. We're claiming a region. By the time Lagos managers notice, HYPELAB will have case studies, roster, and revenue from artists they ignored.

Long-term: Lagos node. Pan-African by Year 5. But the flag goes in the ground here first.

What we are not.

×
Not a record label.

We don't own artists' masters. Ever. They keep what's theirs.

×
Not a PR firm.

We engineer reach. We don't beg for press.

×
Not an influencer agency.

We build artist careers, not one-off sponsored posts.

×
Not your cousin who knows somebody.

We're a real company with real systems. Vibes don't scale.

The North Star.

We measure one thing above all: MAIG — Monthly Artist Income Generated.Total monthly income across all managed artists from streaming, bookings, brand deals, merch.

Not followers. Not streams. Income. That metric forces us to focus on real outcomes, not vanity. Our commission scales with it. Artists win → we win.

Where we are now.

Year 1: prove the model with Kidda X and our first cohort of Sprint clients. Year 2: expand the roster, launch HYPELAB Sessions, close the first major brand partnership. Year 3: pan-Nigerian. First international touring artist. Year 5: the most respected independent music infrastructure company in Africa. That's the long game. We're playing it.
